ON THE COLLAR
A planned Heltec T114 Rev 2.0 board with GPS determines the collar’s coordinates.
WITH YOU
A rechargeable keychain puck with a second T114—without GPS or display—receives the location over LoRa and connects to your iPhone by Bluetooth.
ON YOUR IPHONE
The planned AMINA dashboard will show location, distance from you, battery status, signal strength and last known position.
Early target: hundreds of metres to a few kilometres, depending on terrain, buildings and antenna performance. Not yet measured.
Prototype status: The LoRa system and AMINA dashboard are planned, not yet implemented or tested. Firmware, Bluetooth hand-off, alerts, coverage and New Zealand radio compliance must be validated before this option is offered as a finished product. New Zealand radio guidance ↗
MADE LOCALLY. ONE DOG AT A TIME.
AirTag collars can be ordered by size. LoRa builds are pre-request only while the prototype is tested. Alex confirms fit, price and availability personally by email.
Build slots begin as requests. We’ll confirm availability, fit, materials and pricing with you before accepting an order. The LoRa tracking system remains a prototype.
The intended prototype sends location directly from the collar to Paw Go over LoRa, then Paw Go connects to an iPhone over Bluetooth. This setup has not yet been implemented or field-tested.
We don’t have a measured range yet. Terrain, buildings, antenna performance and the final compliant radio configuration all affect coverage.
Custom casing requests are welcome. We’ll confirm whether the sizing, finish and chosen filament suit the final device before a build slot is agreed.
